Pookie is a beautiful little boy. He will be with us for a while, learning that people won't hurt him.

   Every year, millions of dogs are put to death because shelters cannot find them a permanent home. In one small North Carolina county, the only animal shelter takes in a thousand dogs. These are feral dogs, strays picked up by animal control, dogs removed form an abusive situation, and dogs surrendered by their owners. These dogs are terrified, and some fearful dogs become aggressive. Many of these dogs and puppies find new homes, but many more are emotionally damaged, and cannot be adopted. Dog Repair was started to take these damaged dogs, fix their fearful minds, and help them find new, loving homes.
